Caliente!

Whew, the month is coming in hot, caliente, chaud! How is it August already!?! 2023 seems to be in a hurry.

Are you making great memories this summer?

Did you know that August is National Romance Month? February doesn’t have to get all the love. Go ahead, spread a little romance… maybe start with yourself. Treat yourself to a walk, grab a snowball (also known as shaved ice), or perhaps enjoy a lovely day at your favorite outdoor spot. This is one of my favorite places (a beach, pick a beach, any beach in the world - this one happens to be Long Island, New York) and my new favorite drink I had the pleasure of discovering in Lisbon, Portugal.

And speaking of love… my yard generally tells me where we are in any particular season. By August, the plants are a bit withered and thirsty. However, we’ve had so much rain on the east coast of the U.S. this year that things are still looking fairly green and blooming. Yey!
