Keep Your Head Up!
Only a month into the new year and it feels like it’s been six months. No doubt some of us are weary from the constant barrage of news and nonsense. And since two things can be true, let’s celebrate the joy and beauty of a nationwide community response. Folks are showing up in big ways to protest injustice and trouncing human rights, indie bookstores that could closed on January 30, 2026 in national solidarity, and we authors are STILL going to write. It would be criminal to do otherwise.
Testing, testing, is the mic on? Let the record reflect Rivers enjoyed the Antarctica cruise! The 7th continent bucket list adventure was amazing. (Also for the record, this was on Naomi’s bucket list; Rivers doesn’t have such a thing.) There’s something about traveling, feeling welcome, and observing wildlife in its natural habitat that sparks new ideas and importantly — rest. Check out a few more scenes from our trip.
In the spirit of connection, we’re looking forward to gathering with folks at the following events. Additional information may be found in the events section of our website.
