Happy Everything!

You know why we like the new year? It’s a fresh opportunity for new beginnings. There’s lots of hope and possibility and new lessons to learn.

Welcome to our recent subscribers. It was a pleasure meeting many of you during the holiday pop-ups. Folks commented on and were most interested in how we write together as a couple. Much like this blog, one of us starts it and the other finishes it. However, we have a number of recent interviews on our website answering this question and more.

January is often a good time to rest from recent holiday activities. That’s not us…Naomi, in her infinite wisdom (and slight impulsivity), booked a trip to the end of the world. That’s how Ushuaia, Argentina describes itself─it was a port stop on our Antarctica cruise. We’ll post photos on our socials as we journey to our seventh continent, along with details of the infamous Drake Passage.

A little good news…

Baltimore County Public Library will add Why Not Us? to its circulation system. And, we’re getting outside earlier this year. We’ll be at ReadOUT 2026 in Gulfport, Florida February 6-8; Bird in Hand Café in Baltimore, Maryland February 20; and Why Not Us? was selected as the Enoch Pratt’s March 2026 Read with Pride book selection. We’ll be there on March 7. RSVP links for all events are available on the events page.

We’re also participating in Jae’s Sapphic Book Bingo, which runs January 1 through December 31. Why Not Us? fits in a number of the bingo blocks so check out the rules and then start reading. Good luck!!

We greatly appreciate verbal reviews like this lovely comment, “It’s a story that resonated because it’s more than romance, it’s about the choices we make for love.” We’d also be grateful if you would complete written reviews on Amazon or Goodreads. A few brief sentences would go a long way towards algorithm visibility for us. Thanks in advance!

Let’s make 2026 an amazing year!
